One day consultative meeting conducted

A one- day consultative meeting on the current scenario of Manipur, organized by Kwata Unit Congress Committee, was conducted at Kwata bazar today.
The programme was attended by ex-Education Minister, Kh Ratankumar Singh; ex-MLA Moirang AC, M Prithviraj Singh; Chairperson Kwata Municipal Council, Md Maheruddin; Councillors of Kwata Municipal Council; president, Moirang Block Congress Committee, Md Saukat Ali; vice-president, M Ibohal Singh; social workers, Ph Shamu Singh, K Mohendro Singh and leaders of Jamiat-ul-Ulemma as presidium members while members of Moirang Block Congress Committee also attended the programme.
Speaking at the occasion, ex-Education Minister, Kh Ratankumar Singh denounced the passing the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016 in the Lok Sabha which permits naturalization of illegal immigrants from other countries mat don't belong to muslim community and urged all to rise and fight against the said Bill from getting it pass in the Rajya Sabha.
Ex-MLA, M Prithviraj Singh said the communal politics of BJP led Govt is dangerous for a democratic country like India which is quite obvious from the recent passing of controversial CAB, 2016 adding that State Congress party is fighting tooth and nail not to pass the said bill in the Rajya Sabha.
He further said the claim of State Govt that they have met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and he will do good for Manipur, is akin to exposing Manipur to a vulnerable situation and urged all the indigenous people of Manipur and North East India to rise against such monopolistic move of the Central Govt.
