Kuki cultural exhibition cum seminar in Tripura

Churachandpur, February 02 2009: The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) will flag off KSO/GHQ delegates for Kuki cultural Exhibition-cum-seminar in Tripura tomorrow at 6 am at KSO/CC-Pur Office Tuibuong.

The Kuki Cultural Exhibition-cum-seminar will be held at Boitang, North Tripura from Febraury 4 to 6 to be organized by the Kuki Student's Organization, Tripura.

Invited resource persons comprising Pu Fonidor Chaorei, President Kuki Inpi Barak Valley, Assam (KIBVA) Pu Satkai Chongloi, Vice Chairman, Kuki Movement for Human Rights (KUMHUR), Pu Henkholun Doungel, Chairman standing committee KSO/GHQ Pu Lalthalian Gen Secy Hmar Inpui and Pu Jogabasi-vetaran social worker.

Invited song artistes are Kakai Kipgen,Janglal Khongsai,Kamboi Baite, Maxy Minthang and Kuki Idol top-10 .

The farewell night will be follow by free concert extravaganza.

It may be recalled here that the present state Tripura was known as Twipang and Tipperah in ancient times.

At present Hills are inhabited by the Kukis and valley by the Bengalis who were outsider influx from Bangladesh who ousted the Kukis from the valley and administered them till date.
