Workshop on "Kanglei Umang Lai Haraoba" enters 6th day

Thoubal, June 01 2025: After successful completion of the Lai Haraoba production on the 5th day of Kanglei Umang Lai Haraoba workshop, an in-depth discussion on "Lai Haraobada Touba Yaba amadi Yadaba" was held today on the 6th day of the workshop programme held at Thoubal Nongpok-ching organised by the Nongpok Ningthou Apanthobi Trust.

UKAL general secretary, M Maniton as the speaker of the program stated that Lai Haraoba is the identity of Meiteis, that has been passed down by the ancestors and urged to preserve the true essence of the ritual and not deviate from the traditional practices.

He also lauded Nongpok Ningthou Apanthoibi Trust, a sub-unit of UTRA for organising such workshop programs in spreading the message of preserving the rich tradition of Lai Haraoba and ensuring its continuation in its most authentic form.
