Imphal, April 29 2025: Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI), Imphal in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Hospital, Agartala, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), National Rural Health Mission, and the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Tripura successfully organised a one-day free Pediatric Heart Screening Camp on Monday at IGM Hospital, Agartala.

As per a release by SHRI, a team of specialized cardiology experts from Shija Hospitals conducted comprehensive outpatient consultations and echocardiographic (ECHO) for children from 10 am to 4 pm .

During the camp, 20 children were screened.

Following diagnosis, these children have been advised of device closure procedures and will be visiting Shija Hospitals, Imphal for further treatment.

The initiative aimed to facilitate early detection and management of congenital and acquired heart conditions, focusing on children exhibiting symptoms such as breathlessness, chest pain, unexplained fatigue, or poor weight gain.
