Wakat meephams continue for trio unconditional release

Imphal, April 17: Strongly contending that Shashi, Devan and Brojen apprehended by police commandos on April 13 from Cheiraoching are innocent civilians wakat meephams were staged at five different places today demanding unconditional release of the trio.

A press release issued by the Families' Committee for Observation of 13 April informed that the wakat meepham staged at Keishampat was organised by the Poirei Ita Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, at Mongsangei by the Naoriya Kendra Women Welfare Association, at Chingamakha Maibam Leikai by the Nupi Khunai Meira Paibi Manipur, at Canchipur by the Singjamei-Lilong Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur and at Tabung Pukhri Mapal, Thangmeiband under the aegis of the Thangmeiband Chingkhong Akoiba Meira Paibi.
