Meeting / awareness programme on 'Community Mobilization & Media Activities' held at Kakching

Kakching, November 12 2025:
The Zonal Education Office (ZEO) & DPO Kakching, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha (Elementary), Manipur, organised a one-day district-level meeting cum awareness programme on "Community Mobilization & Media Activities for School Heads and SMC Members" today at the conference hall of LOI Office.
Speaking at the event, ZEO Kakching Mayanglambam Rakesh emphasized the importance of collective efforts from teachers, School Management Committee (SMC) members, parents and the community to adapt to ongoing changes in the education policy.
He highlighted that every year reforms are introduced, and it is essential for all stakeholders to stay informed and united in their efforts to build a strong education environment.
Programme Coordinator, E Premila, speaking on "School Safety & Security", stressed that ensuring school safety requires cooperation among teachers, parents, and community members.
She noted that policies introduced by the Education Department can only be effective through shared commitment and teamwork from the parents, clubs, CSOs, and local authorities.
During the technical session, resource persons S Thajamanbi spoke on the topic of "Vidyanjali" initiative taken up by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, while N Bilashini discussed topics on "Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR), and UDISE Prashast App in relation with children with special needs (CWSN).
The programme saw active participation from numerous school heads, teachers under ZEO Kakching, and SMC members.
As part of the programme, an enrolment drive rally on Education, Vidyanjali, and Benefits of Health was also flagged off from Kakching Higher Secondary School and culminated at Practising Junior High School.
