Ningombam Hemachandra felicitated

Ningombam Hemachandra who has been recently promoted to the rank of Brigadier in Indian Army underscored the need of having a clear set of goals among the students so as to become successful and responsible citizens.
He was speaking at his felicitation programme held at Acme Higher Secondary School, Yairipok today organised by the school.
Ningombam Hema chandra's wife Sonika Dogra, Acme Higher Secondary School principal Yumnam Biren and award donor Shamjetsabam Sanjoy also attended today's programme as presidium members.
Addressing the gathering, Hemachandra motivated the students to strive for the better while narrating his life story and the struggles he went through to reach where he is today.
Stating that Class XII is a crucial phase for the students, he advised the students to have a clear set of goals and work sincerely to achieve those goals He also lauded the teaching staff, committee members and non-teaching staff of Acme Higher Secondary School for the commendable work delivered by the school within a short period of time for students' welfare.
In today's programme, the school toppers who excelled in Higher Secondary Examination-2023 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) were presented cash awards, citation and simple gifts.
The awards were presented by Shamjetsabam Sanjoy of Nongpok Lourembam in the honour of his late parents.
Ningombam Hemachandra was bom in Khongman Zone 5, Imphal East, Manipur.
He is the youngest amongst six children of Late N Ibochou Singh and Late N Noyonshakhee Devi.
He did his early schooling from National Children School, Khongman and later studied in Sainik School, Imphal.
After completing Electrical Engineering from NIT Hamirpur, he joined the Indian Military Academy and passed out with Technical Silver Medal for being first in the merit list amongst tech-nical/engineering cadets.
He was commissioned as an officer to 268 Engineer Bridge Regiments (PMS) on June 13, 1998.Currently he is posted at the Eastern Command, Fort Williams, Kolkata.
