Health talk on NTEP held

The Department of Community Medicine, Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), Langol conducted a health talk on the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) at Primary Health Centre, Khonghampat Mayai Leikai on Monday.
The programme was held as part of NTEP activities under the directives of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
MBBS interns from SAHS delivered the session in the presence of the District TB Officer, Imphal West.
PHC staff, community members, faculty, Senior Residents, Tutors, Health Inspector and Medical Social Worker of the Community Medicine Department also attended.
The talk covered TB transmission, symptoms, prevention, early diagnosis, timely treatment and adherence.
Participants were informed about free diagnosis and treatment, nutritional support under Nikshay Poshan Yojana, contact screening, TB Preventive Treatment and community participation.
Flip charts and posters were used, followed by an interactive discussion.
