CEO Manipur conducts quarterly inspection of EVM warehouse in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, September 15 2025: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Manipur, Shailesh Kumar Chourasia, today conducted 100% physical verification of EVM Warehouse during the quarterly inspection of EVM Warehouse located at the DC Office Complex, Bishnupur.

The inspection was carried out in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.

CEO Shailesh Kumar Chourasia personally verified the Electronic Voting Machines, EVMs and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails, VVPATs for all Assembly Constituencies under the district - Nambol, Oinam, Bishnupur, Moirang, Kumbi, and Thanga.

Prior to inspection, the CEO had a brief meeting with representatives of political parties from the district at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex.

He welcomed their presence and emphasized the importance of transparency and trust in the electoral process.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam; State Nodal Officer (EVM), H Bobby Sharma; Assistant State Nodal Officer (EVM) Binod Salam; Additional District Election Officer; Deputy District Election Officer; Electoral Registration Officers, EROs; Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, AEROs; Election Officer; and other concerned officials of the district joined the inspection.

The internal inspection involved a thorough check of the EVM warehouse to ensure compliance with the Commission's guidelines, reaffirming the commitment to the integrity and preparedness of the election machinery.
