Imphal, January 24 2025: The NSCN/GPRN (Government of People's Republic of Nagaland) and ULFA (I) have boycotted the Republic Day celebration.

A statement issued by the NSCN said that the total ban will be effective in Manipur, Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Claiming that WESEA has never been part of India either by choice or conquest, it added that the people of WESEA are still awaiting the fulfilment of commitment in the UN charters to exercise their right to freedom.

"As long as the international community doesn't take any concrete action to bring an end to illegal occupation, our region will continue to suffer atrocities in the hands of the Indian armed forces," the outfit alleged.

"Unfurling her alien flag in an occupied region is not a sign of India's strength rather it is a symptom of tyranny, greed and betrayal," it further claimed.
