Moirang College begins two-day Student Induction Programme

Moirang College on Tuesday commenced a two-day Student Induction Programme (SIP) for newly admitted first-semester students of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at the college hall.
Organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Moirang College, the programme aims to help newly admitted students adapt to the academic environment, familiarise themselves with the institution's ethos and culture, build meaningful relationships with peers and faculty members, and encourage self-exploration with a broader sense of purpose.
Principal Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh and IQAC coordinator Dr Ph Raju Singh attended the programme as presidium members.
During the programme, Academic Officer S Deven Singh briefed the students on college rules and regulations, including the assembly, students' code of conduct and undertakings by students and parents.
Caretaker Officer Dr M Rajesh Singh spoke on college facilities and the NCC, while NSS coordinator K Azad Singh highlighted NSS activities and scholarship opportunities.
P Ibomcha Singh conducted an orientation on the academic programme, NEP 2020, Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), internal assessment and the mentor-mentee system.
Later, the newly admitted students were also taken on a guided tour of the college facilities and introduced to faculty members of various departments, the Controller of Examinations, and the Deans of Science and Social Science.
