"Exchange of Acts & Thoughts" interaction programme begins

Imphal, July 12 2025: A monthly interaction programme titled, "Exchange of Acts & Thoughts: Your Views Our Ideas" began today at Lilong Higher Secondary School, Imphal West district.

The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including Ngangbam Nongyai, chairman, LMS Law College Alumni Association, DM University and former Member, Manipur Human Right Commission; Shougrakpam Bhubon Singh, former Principal, Triveni Public School Lilong and secretary, All Manipur Columnists' Union; Dr N Shanta Singh, Principal, Lilong Higher Secondary School; and Lourembam Padmabati Devi, Vice Principal, Lilong Higher Secondary School.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr N Shanta said that the interaction programme will be held every 2nd Saturday to facilitate communication, discussion, and engagement between students, teachers and experts.

He continued that apart from discussions on teachingleaming process, ethics, culture & politics, the programme will also feature career counselling sessions by experts.

"Learning about culture, ethics, and politics beyond the core curriculum can significantly benefit students, fostering well-roundedness and preparing them for a complex world", he added.

Dr N Shanta also shared that with the aim to revive the socio-cultural and tradition of Manipur, students of the school have been wearing traditional attires (Khudei/Phanek) on every Thursday, Friday & Saturday for the last couple of years.
