Van Mahotsav celebration concludes at Senapati

The week-long Van Mahotsav Celebration 2025, held from July 1 to 7 across Senapati district, concluded on a high note with massive participation from local communities, schools, and various government agencies.
The event witnessed the plantation of over 1 lakh seedlings in the span of 1 week spread out across more than 38 centres across the district, marking a significant milestone in environmental efforts.
The celebration, which included large-scale tree plantation drives, aimed to raise awareness about forest conservation, sustainable living, and the need for environmental protection.
The campaign also encouraged a deeper sense of community ownership and responsibility towards safeguarding nature.
The success of Van Mahotsav 2025 will have a lasting impact on the environment, fostering a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come.
The Forest Department expressed its deep appreciation to the District Administration and all line departments, Security agencies, CSOs, village headman and Chairman, all participants, volunteers, and stakeholders for their roles in making the event a success.
Special gratitude was also extended to participating institutions, including Savio School, Tungjoy; Don Bosco, Shajouba; Mount Gibeon School, Tadubi; Brookdale School; St Xavier College; Naga Public School, Koide; Sprouting Oak's Academy; Lao Radiant School, St Anthony's School, Lungnila Elizabeth College, Mt Everest School, JNV Mao, and Sophia English School for their enthusiastic involvement in the week-long campaign, highlighting the vital role of youth and educational institutions in promoting environmental stewardship.
