"Leirang" is a series of events organised to showcase the beautiful and unique culture of the North East through traditional dance, music, costumes, food and lifestyle, added the foundation.
The festival opened with traditional dances led by Guru Dr Manju and his students from Manipur followed by music performed by famous singers and bands from the North East including RJAY, Felix & Len, Sorri Senjam and the Kok Band.
The highlight of the festival was the fashion show by well known designer Arbind Tonjam, whose collection of traditional dresses and costumes of the North East left the audience spellbound.
The showstopper of the evening was Manipuri film star Soma Laishram, who looked stunning in a traditional bridal dress called Potloi.
