NPF angst over slow pace of work

Imphal, September 25 2013:
The Naga Peoples' Front (NPF), Tamei division has expressed its anguish over the non-completion of the Barak bridge between Dikiuram and Katang in Tamei subdivision and the pathetic condition of IT Road.
NPF, Tamei division president Kabehah Robin and its secretary A Lunglinbou wondered as to why the state government is taking over 7 years to complete the bridge over Barak river.
The NPF functionaries then urged the authority to speed up the construction work.
Regarding the IT Road condition, Kabehah Robin and A Lunglinbou said it is one of the oldest road of Manipur "but till date the state government continues to neglect it." The NPF functionaries pointed out that several accidents have been occurring every year along the IT Road but the government continues to ignore them.
They said the callous attitude of the state government towards the people confining along the IT Road is condemnable by all.
"During raining season, numerous landslides usually hamper commuters and during the dry season, dust and roughness of the road make the travelers hardship.
Meanwhile, office of the NPF, Tamei division has been opened.
