MLA Surjakumar inaugurates new building of Daylark Institute of Fashion Designing

Thoubal, July 20 2026: The newly constructed building of the Daylark Institute of Fashion Designing, the first fashion designing college in Manipur, was inaugurated at Thoubal Okram on Monday by Khangabok MLA Okram Surjakumar.

The inaugural function was attended by Khongnangthaba University Vice-Chancellor Prof Naorem Joykumar as functional president, while Thoubal District Chamber of Commerce and Industries (TDCCI) president N Saratchandra and Creative Director of Ningthibi Collection, Sailex Ngairangbam, attended as guests of honour.

MLA Surjakumar formally inaugurated the new college building by cutting the ribbon.

During the programme, the dignitaries honoured the promoters for their contributions to the growth of the institution.

College staff, outstanding students and alumni were also felicitated with Lengyan in recognition of their achievements and contributions.
