KSO-GHQ thanks SSC, pushes for permanent centre in CCpur, new SSC exam centre in KPI

Kangpokpi, July 12 2025: The Kuki Students' Organisation-General Headquarters (KSO-GHQ) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for reinstating the SSC examination centre in Churachandpur district.

A delegation representing KSO, including members of KSO Delhi & NCR Education Department, recently met the SSC Chairman in New Delhi.

During the meeting, they submitted formal representations from both KSO-GHQ and KSO Sadar Hills, while also presenting a traditional muffler to the Chairman as a gesture of gratitude.

Highlighting the large number of candidates from the region, KSO-GHQ appealed to the Commission to declare the Churachandpur examination centre a permanent facility, safeguarding future access for generations of aspirants.

In addition to this request, the organisation strongly urged for the establishment of a new SSC examination centre in Kangpokpi district, preferably at the IT Centre, Presidency College, Motbung.

According to KSO-GHQ, this proposed location is strategically positioned and would greatly benefit candidates from across the district by making exams more accessible and affordable.

The KSO-GHQ further called for immediate intervention to facilitate the necessary infrastructure and resources to operationalise Presidency College, Motbung, as an examination centre.

Responding to the delegation, the SSC Chairman reportedly assured that a team would soon be dispatched to Kangpokpi to conduct an inquiry regarding the feasibility of establishing an SSC examination centre at Presidency College.
