Differently abled people felicitated

Imphal, December 09 2020: A felicitation program for the winners of Voice of Specially Abled People (VOSAP) Art Contest 2020 was held today at Chajing Mairenkhong Community Hall organised by the Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA of Langthabal Assembly Constituency Karam Shyam said that the differently abled persons are the messengers of love.

Every normal person should extend help towards them whenever they are in need.

The dream of a peaceful society can only be achieved when there is love and harmony among the members of a society irrespective of all the differences.

He further stated that the differently abled persons have unique qualities and traits of their own and are able to showcase their talents.

It is a proud moment for the State that they have won many awards in the National level talent hunt contest and one should appreciate such talents.

The differently abled persons should not feel inferior or discouraged and should live with pride, he added.

He appealed to the various organizations who are working for the differently abled persons to merge into a single unit and work earnestly for the welfare of the differently abled persons and not to run business in the name of social service and lauded the efforts of the Relief Centre for their continuous humanitarian service.

Laishram Biren Yaima, president of LJP Langthabal Mandal and its vice president B Brajamohon Sharma and the media advisor of the Relief Centre Nimol Ningombam also attended today's event.

Karam Shyam was presented with the Humanitarian Service Appreciation certificate 2019-2020 by the Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons.

Winners of VOSAP Art Contest 2020 performed and showcased their talents to the audience.
