Felicitation ceremonies held at various places

Khunja Naharol Society, Khonghampat on Saturday felicitated meritorious students who secured good marks in this year's Class X and XII examinations.
The ceremony held at Khonghampat Mantri Leikai Community Hall was graced by social worker Khomdram Nilamani Singh; N Tomba Singh, founder, Khunja Naharol Society; Sagolshem Mani, retired Assistant Professor, Imphal College; Yumnam Kumar, retired Lecturer, Liberal College; social worker Kharaijam Chaoba; Thangjam Ibomcha, retried SO, PWD; Bidyalaxmi, president, Women's Welfare Association; Laishram Reem, vice president, Women's Welfare Association; Kharaijam Rani, secretary, Women's Welfare Association; Thangjam Ibomcha, president, MDC; Khomdram Chandakumar, secretary, MDC; Kharaijam Maipaksana, president, KMY Lup and Ningthoujam Kumarjit, secretary, KMY Lup as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, N Tomba Singh said that Khunja Naharol Society was established by like-minded people to support and work for the betterment of Khonghampat area.
He also lauded the students for their outstanding achievement and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavours.
Meritorious students were honoured with simple gifts and certificates during the ceremony.
Moreover, the United Youth Organisations (UYO) on Saturday organised the 9th Meritorious Award Ceremony at its premises in Singjamei.
The ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including L Inunganbi Devi, Corporator, IMC Ward No 18; Dr Th Nilachandra Singh, Associate Professor, DM University; Sagolsem Shamungou Mangang, president, UYO and Th Jaychandra Singh, retired Associate Professor, Imphal College and founder chairman of HRC.
During the ceremony, 28 students who secured good marks in this year's Class X & XII examinations conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE were honoured with simple gifts.
10 athletes of the club who represented the State at various national level events were also felicitated.
