In a significant achievement towards improving public utility services, the trial run of the Tera Overhead Water Reservoir was successfully conducted, yielding highly positive results.
As per a release issued by the office of the Sagolband AC MLA, water was able to reach even the first floor without the aid of any pump or external pressure, confirming the strength and effectiveness of the newly built system.
The major development comes as assured earlier by Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh, who has remained steadfast in his commitment to resolving the persistent potable water crisis across the constituency.
Once officially commissioned, the reservoir will ensure equitable and uninterrupted water supply to several key areas, including Amudon, Kelimakhong, Leirenjam Leirak, Bijoy Govinda, Bijoy Govinda Mamang Leikai, Ingudam Leirak, Pukhrambam Leirak, Thangjam Leirak, Mabudhou Mantri Leikai and Sayang.
It is worth mentioning that new water pipelines have also been laid across the constituency over the past 10 years, significantly strengthening the entire water distribution network.
Moreover, a new overhead water reservoir is also proposed to be constructed at the Shree Shree Bijoy Govinda complex under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme.
Upon completion, this upcoming facility will further strengthen water supply infrastructure and is expected to eliminate water scarcity almost entirely in the constituency benefiting the residents.
Residents have expressed deep appreciation for this much-needed progress in addressing long-standing water issues.
