Imphal, July 28 2024: The 89th Annual Conference of Manipur Sahitya Parishad for the year 2024 was held today at GM Hall, Imphal.

The function was graced by renowned Manipur Sahitya Parishad president Longjam Joychandra Singh, renowned theatre artist Heisnam Sabitri and critic Nongmaithem Tomba as presidium members.

As part of the programme, the dignitaries handed over Upadhi, cash award and gold medal to many renowned writers and artists.

The Sahitya Bushan was presented to Naorem Khogendra from Khagempalli; Sangeet Bhusan to Yumnam Mangi of Langthabal, Yensembam Bilashini of Takhellambam Leikai and Laimayum Debendrajit of Singjamei Thongam Leikai; Nat Bhusan to Keisham ongbi Prabhabati from Tripura; Natya Bhusan to Loitongbam Dorendra of Wangkhei Tokpam and Salam Muktabali of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai; Shilpa Bhusan to Angom ongbi Bino of Singjamei Mathak Thokchom Leikai; Nritya Bhusan to Ningombam Bira from Tripura; Gabesna Bhusan to Ningthoujam Kholo from Khuyathong Polem Leikai; Kala Bhusan to Okram Manglem of Khongman Okram Chuthek, Henba Tensuba of Khurai Puthiba Leikai and Naorem Gulap of Angtha Mayai Leikai; Badya Ratna to Sapam Kullabi of Langthabal and Badya Bushan to Lairenlakpam Yaima of Sagolband.

Elangbam Dinamani Sahitya Mana was given to Yengkhom Nilachandra of Kakching Khullen Paji Leikai; Srimad Parmahangsa Swami Jogendrananda Giri Ningsing Mana to Hanjabam Gokul of Wangkhei; Dr Lambam Kamal Kabiratna Ningsing Selgi Mana to ES Sunder of Hiyanglam; Dr Jamini Sahitya Mana to Kunjalal Yendrembam of Lakhipur and Telem Abir Selgi Mana to Polem Nabachandra of Sagolband.

Srimati Thokchom Ongbi Manimacha Devi Ningsing Mana was given to Loitongbam ongbi Sumati of Nagamapal; Guru Meisnam Amubi Sammaan to Nongthombam Amusana of Uripok; Kamalsana Rajkumari Ningsing Mana to RK Gourasana of Awang Potsangbam; Srimad Paramahangsh Swami Jogendrananda Ningsing Mana to RK Singhajit of Keishamthong and Khumathem Kaomacha Sanagi Medal to Leishangthem Ibotomba from Thoubal.
