Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup (KEMKAL) strongly condemned yesterday's incident which left many injured at Kwakta and Phougakchao Ikhai.
KEMKAL Joint Secretary in a press release expressed dismay that many Meitei civilians were injured when they were stopped from marching towards Torbung by security forces at Kwakta and Phougakchao Ikhai.

KEMKAL also appealed to all leading civil society organisations (CSOs) to work under one roof and strive collectively for a common cause rather than working separately at their own pace.
To ensure effective implementation of a movement so as to achieve the desired result, KEMKAL urged all concerned to consult and coordinate with local organisations and Meira Paibis beforehand of the respective area.
