TACE 2024 was organised by the Assam Rifles in association with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs as a part of the tribal artists' empanelment drive conducted by Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) with an aim to identify, register and promote tribal artists by highlighting their cultural heritage and thus providing them a platform to showcase their artistic skills, said a press release by the Assam Rifles.
This initiative will also ensure that the tribal artisans get due recognition and fair remuneration for their tribal artefacts as the event is being organised with direct coordination from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and there are no middlemen involved in the trade of these artefacts.
