Irate women burn Mizoram CM effigy

Bishnupur, July 27 2023: Reacting strongly against the interference of Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga in the internal affairs of Manipur, his effigy was burnt yesterday evening at Moirang Lamkhai Lamlong by a large number of womenfolk.

The womenfolk of various localities of Moirang gathered at Moirang Lamkhai Lamlong yesterday and burnt the effigy of Zoramthanga who openly supported the demand for a separate administration in Manipur.

The irate women asserted that they will stand firmly and fight against all forms of forces which tend to disintegrate Manipur.

Slogans such as 'Zoramthanga Don't spew poison in Manipur', 'Eliminate narco-terrorism from Manipur', 'Zoramthanga Down Down', 'Down Down Kukinisation in South Asia', 'Zoramthanga Kingpin of Narco-terrorist', 'Down Down Kukinisation in North East India', 'Stop Abetting Balkanisation of Manipur', etc were chanted by the women.

Speaking at the sidelines of the protest, women protestors strongly denounced the intentions of Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga of openly supporting the demand for a 'Separate Administration' .

'Such acts of his signifies that he is a narco-terrorist leader who wants to disintegrate Manipur', they alleged.
