Imphal, June 05 2014:
The Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF) has decried all the hue and cry raised over the location of its designated camp at Semol village, Chandel district.
Semol was approved by the Government as the site for the outfit's designated camp in view of the legitimate status enjoyed by the outfit by virtue of being a party to the tripartite SoO pact, said a press release issued by KNO under secretary, information and publicity Stephen Kuki.
The vociferous attack on the site of the camp was the handiwork of UKLF which intends to dominate the area, it alleged.
Civil bodies should not take a one-sided view even if threatened by the outfit.
If they continue to do so, adverse repercussions would inevitably follow, and they would be held responsible for undue public disturbances.
It advised Jammang Baite and Shokhomang Haokip to exercise restraint and refrain from advancing personal attacks on DIG Brig Rajiv Mankotia of 26 Sector Assam Rifles.
