Imphal, April 29 2025:
Saying that the Indian Government took immediate action in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, former coordinator of COCOMI Jitendra Ningombam has asserted that their inaction in case of the nearly two-year old Manipur conflict shows their unwillingness to save the people of Manipur.
He made the remark during a public meeting jointly organised by Laiphrakpam Meira Paibi and Iram Siphai Meira Paibi at Wangoi Laiphrakpam Community Hall to deliberate on the prolonged Manipur crisis.

He added that the crisis could have been resolved a long time ago if the Indian Government was sincere in its approach.
Stressing on the importance of the upcoming May 3 convention, he called for widespread public participation.
The public meeting was also graced by Y Momon, president, All Manipur Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup and meira paibi leaders T Sama Laiphrakpam and Memchoubi Sorokhaibam.
Former COCOMI coordinator Sunil Karam was also present as resource person.
Similar public meetings were also held at YM Hall Kakching Bazar, Singjamei and Sagolband Amudon Akham Leikai.
