Two-day DISHA meeting concludes

Bishnupur, July 12 2025: The two-day District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for Bishnupur district concluded today at the DC Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat, Bishnupur.

The meeting was organized by the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Bishnupur.

Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament, Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, and Chairperson of the DISHA Committee chaired the DISHA meeting.

The Chairperson emphasized that the quarterly DISHA meeting serves as a platform to monitor development activities at the district level and ensure that the implementation of schemes and projects is both efficient and time-bound.

He further noted that motivation at every level is essential, stating that even a single step towards positive change can pave the way for greater achievements.

Dr Akoijam urged all District Level Officers and stakeholders to work together for the district's progress, set an example for others and nurture a shared vision of inclusive development.

He called for continued support and cooperation to achieve these goals.

Detailed progress reports and PowerPoint presentations were given by DLOs from the departments of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, District Women and Child Development, Land & Resources, Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution, Transport, District Industries Centre and DYAS.

The review covered achievements and ongoing progress of various centrally sponsored schemes and projects, including: National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP); National Artificial Insemination Programme (NAIP); National Livestock Mission (NLM); Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM); National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD); Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS); Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY); Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme, Safety and Protection of Women - One Stop Centre, Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), National Food Security Act (NFSA), Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), Parivahan, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Khelo India, Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme among others.

Following the meeting, Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam also visited the One Stop Centre, Bishnupur, located in the Mini Secretariat Complex, to assess its infrastructure and functioning.

The meeting witnessed active participation from ADM, Bishnupur T Opendra, nominated DISHA Committee members and district level officials.
