The agitating JAC of 2006/2007 Autonomous District Council DPC Faced Candidates' Parents and Guardians, Manipur today denounced the suspension of their agitations which was reported in some section of the media today.
While rejecting the news report and with the end of the 72-hour bandh in five hill districts of the state, the body has announced the commencement of the indefinite economic blockade on the NH-39 and 53 from midnight tonight.
The convenor of the JAC, Chungsat Khongsai announced the commencement of the economic blockade in a press conference held today at Manipur Press Club, Major Khul.
Speaking to reporters, Chungsat terming the news report published in some section of the newspaper and electronic media said that T Haokip who claimed himself to be the information and publicity secretary has nothing to do with the JAC.
He is not related with the JAC in any way, Chungsat saying that they have suspicion of T Haokip nexus with Tribal Development Minister to create confusion to the general people and break the agitation.
A meeting of the constituent partners of the JAC was held today at its office at Deulahland has reaffirmed the decision to go ahead with the previously announced line of agitation of imposing economic blockade on the NH-39 and 53 .
The meeting also resolved to continue the blockade until the DPC result is declared.
Any untoward incident occurred out of defying the blockade will not be the responsible of the JAC, he warned.
Vehicles transporting items related with medical service, print and electronic media and others will be kept outside the purview of the economic blockade, he added.
