Biren, Sanajaoba summoned to Delhi

Ex-Chief Minister N Biren who left for Delhi today along with Rajya Sabha Member Leishemba Sanajaoba has stated that he would meet all relevant Central leaders and urge them to bring an end to the current unrest besieging the State.
Biren and Sanajaoba left for Delhi at 1.45 pm today at the invitation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the unfolding public unrest and the political imbroglio.
Responding to queries raised by media persons at Imphal airport, N Biren said that he and Sanajaoba were going to Delhi to meet Central leaders on the current public unrest and explore a solution.
The unfolding situation is not some ordinary problem.
The current situation of Manipur is very critical.
Saying that all the people, women, mothers and youth need to calm down and think very carefully before taking any step or speaking something, the exChief Minister appealed to all the people to give up violence.
He appealed to all sections of people to come together and work collectively.
"Let us all study the situation minutely and work together in the interest of the State.
Let us not be carried away by emotions, anger and sentiments", Biren said.
Sources said that Amit Shah called N Biren and Sanajaoba to Delhi in connection with the arrest of Arambai Tenggol fighting commander Asem Kanan by CBI on June 7 and the subsequent 10 day's general strike called by the Arambai Tenggol.
According to the sources, the Union Home Minister invited N Biren and Leishemba Sanajaoba to Delhi to talk about the unfolding situation and calm down the Arambai Tenggol's uproar and the protest.
Amit Shah called N Biren and Sanajaoba over telephone on Sunday and asked them to come to Delhi.
Moreover, BJP North East Coordinator Sambit Patra personally called Leishemba Sanajaoba over telephone and asked him to talk with ex-Chief Minister N Biren over the unfolding situation in Manipur.
