Monsang Sports Meet: Changning enter veteran final as Changnhe, Pantha win

Imphal, January 24 2024: Changning Veterans entered the final as Changnhe and Pantha prevailed in their respective matches in the 16th Monsang Sports Meet 2024 at Liwa Sarei Football Ground, Chandel on Wednesday.

Changning Veterans confirmed their place in the final of the veteran event after beating Changnhe Veterans 6-4 in their semifinal match.

Kh Everson starred in Changning's win, scoring four goals (51, 60, 64, 68), with Ng Phamshir (24, 58) contributing a double.

The losing side scored through Ng Rungtin (71, 75), Th Behring (16) and W Kollen (80).In the men's open group, Changnhe outplayed Roshangkung 3-1.Th Monudeen (22), Th Mensangam (28) and th Milan (78) all got their names on the scoreboard in their side's victory.

For Ro shangkung, Ng Anglenthung (57) was the lone scorer.

Pantha, on the other hand, beat Leenbelang by a 2-0 margin in the women's match.

Sh Alisha (15) and W Shangnihring (48) converted in their triumph.

On Thursday (January 25, 2024), Liwa Sarei will take on Meeleen in the U-14 semifinal while Meeleen and Liwa Sarei will square off in the pre-veteran semifinal.
