Entrepreneurs air plight to Guv, discuss uplift of economy

Kh Hemabati Devi, proprietor of Young Talent Judo Academy, Phougakchao Ikhai, Bishnupur, and an international Judoka, accompanied by Asem Becha and Angom Khambi, met with Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday and apprised the latter of the difficulties faced by the sportspersons in their day-to-day activities due to the ongoing clashes.
Hemabati, who has been staying at Moirang relief camp since her house was damaged during the crisis that began on May 3, urged the Governor to provide Her an electric vehicle in order to support her family.
The Governor, while encouraging her to maintain her enthusiasm in training young players, assured Hemabati of financial assistance to help her family during this testing time.
Anusuiya Uikey also expressed sympathy over their situation and stated that the state government would compensate them for their losses.
Meanwhile, a statement of Governor's Secretariat informed that Lairenjam Niranjan Singh, director and CEO of JCRE Skill Solutions, Imphal, along with Srikumar Menon, ambassador (retd), and Vijay Kumar, founder and CEO of INLAMOBI International Labour Mobility, called on the Governor on Wednesday and discussed ideas and initiatives that could contribute to the revival of Manipur's economy through economic empowerment of Manipur women through Food & Fragrance extraction supported by Women's Skill University.
With the goal of improving the ecosystem and infrastructure in Manipur with the support of foreign partners, they informed the Governor that they have conducted extensive research on the subject and are eager to share their findings and ideas for viable solutions for Manipur's women and youths.
The Governor warmly welcomed their new ideas and complimented their efforts, saying it is critical to begin developmental activities for the economic sustainability of the state's displaced people.
She expressed belief that such an endeavour will help displaced women and youths redirect their attention to productive activity.
