Imphal, October 10 2026: The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM) has urged the Government to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in all recruitment processes, and make appointments strictly on the basis of candidates' merit.

The TYCM, in a statement, asserted that all Government recruitment must be completed in time and OMR-based examinations must be adopted.

Taking too long to complete recruitment processes is one of the main factors contributing to "increasing practice of corruption" and a growing unemployment crisis in Manipur, it said.

To ensure a transparent, accountable, and corruption-free recruitment, the Government must formulate and introduce a system which will put a time limit to complete the process in time, it added.

It appreciated the Department of Social Welfare for introducing OMR based examination in its recent recruitment of 49 different posts.
