FC Khanglai triumphs Sadar Hills District Council Day Trophy 2014

The XII Sadar Hills District Council Day Trophy 2014 concluded here today at Brig.
Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi with Football Club Khanglai Sadar Hills as the tournament Champion.
Virtually a month long open football tournament has been organized by District Sports Association Sadar Hills while it was sponsored by Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi.
The closing ceremony of the open tournament has been graced by Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills as Chief Guest while four Executive Member of ADC Sadar Hills namely Lunthang Haokip, Seikholal Haokip, Bhumi Prasad and Seikhosat Kipgen attended the ceremony as Guest of Honour.
While Chongpu Kipgen, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council attended as Functional President Rev.NJ.
Thangboi, Pastor Methodist Baptist Church Kangpokpi attended as the ceremony dedication Minister.
A part from the local civil bodies various CSO leaders within Sadar Hills including Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, Kuki Women Union Sadar Hills and KSO Sadar Hills also charmed the closing ceremony.
The first 45 minutes of the match witnessed hard-hitting battle from FC Khanglai and Young Lions Football Club Redbulls even though the match went in favour of FC Khanglai with two goals from Pritam in 33 min.

The second half fully dominated by FC Khanglai witnessed another two goals from Pritam in 37 min.

79 min and 80 min respectively in favour of FC Khanglai ended the final score line to 7-0 even though Young Lions FC Redbulls fought tooth and nail they failed to scored even a solitary goal.
Unfortunately, Thangkhohao and Lenboi of Young Lions FC Redbulls were booked with yellow card in 11 min.

With 8 goals in his boot Lamminthang of FC Khanglai begged the top scorer award while Young Lions FC Redbulls skipper Letgoulen has been awarded the Best Goalkeeper award and Thanglenjoy of FC Khanglai begged the Match of the final match award.
The tournament champion team FC Khanglai Sadar Hills has been awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs.50,000/- while runner-up Young Lions FC Redbulls has been awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs.30,000/- and third place Teen's Football Club was awarded with a trophy and Rs.10,000/- in cash.
