Speaking on the occasion, Witoubou Newmai asserted that late Naorem Sanajaoba's credential as a scholar and as a teacher is beyond doubt.
"He may be dead for other people but for me, he is still alive and he continues to guide me", Witoubou said.
He was one scholar who showed the paths of nationalism to all communities.
His demise was an irreparable loss for not only Manipur but also for the entire North East region.
At the very initial days of Newmai News Network, Oja Sanajaoba donated a computer set to the network, Witoubou recalled.
Other speakers also recalled the exploits and achievements of Sanajaoba in academic realm.
One speaker remarked that Sanajaoba was a champion of human rights and a dedicated advocate of international laws.
It is the duty of the present generation to struggle collectively and realize Sanajaoba's dream of a new Manipur where people enjoy all kinds of human rights.
RK Manisana remarked that Sanajaoba was a teacher to each and every individual he came across.
His intellectual acumen and wisdom cannot be compared with any other individual.
It would be highly beneficial if people of the State can read all the books read by Sanajaoba when he was alive, Manisana said.
