Manipur rich medal haul continues

With over 50 medals in their kitty, Manipur contingent had a great day today on the third day of the ongoing 28th National Level North East Sports Competition 2014-15 at Itanagar as they continued their medal haul.
With 26 Gold, 16 Silver and 23 Bronze medals, the Manipur contingent topped the medal table of the game on the third day with the host team coming second with 24 Gold, 12 Silver and 17 Bronze medals.
Athletics: Kh Romajit bagged Gold in the 3000 metre race (girl) .
Archery: Sh Ramakanta Sharma won Gold by scoring 188 points in the Olympic Round-men individual category.
In the mix event, Th Ishombi and Ksh Nikon Mangang won Gold by scoring 149 point.
Judo: A Gold each was won by S Sandhyarani (48 kg); O Rajeshwori (57 kg); N Bina (53 kg); L Gangarani (70 kg) .
Chingsanglakpa (50 Kg) and Sanatomba (66kg) won Gold while M Rakesh bagged Silver in the 63 kg.
Ph Arun (73kg) and S Manao (90kg) won Bronze each.
Taekwondo: Th Gulshan snatched Gold in the 59 kg category.
Weightlifting: Gold for Y Salaingambi (58 kg); K Bella (63 kg) and YM Nafiza (69 kg above).
Bronze for Romini Chanu (69kg).N Robin (62 kg-men) won Bronze and Kh Jojo snatched Gold in the 62 kg category.
Boxing: K Bina (46 kg) won Gold while Nengneihat Kom (48 kg) settled for Silver and H Mahena (50 kg), Ch Pushpa (52) and L Holen settled for a Bronze medal each.
