State League teams MBSU and AIM bow out of the tournament

After winning their respectiv matches today, the Youth Development Organisation (YDO), Kwakeithel Heinoukhong-nembi and Kuki Sporting Club (KSC), Lambulane entered the pre-quarter final round of the 53rd edition of the Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament, 2009 organised by the All Manipur Football Association at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
On the other hand the two teams from Manipur State League have been ousted from the tournament after losing today's matches.
The two teams from State League were Manipur Brothers' Sporting Union (MBSU), Wahengbam Leikai and Anouba Imagi Mangal (AIM), Khabam Lamkhai.
YDO, Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi and MBSU, Wahengbam Leikai played the first match today.
YDO defeated goalless MBSU with one goal after playing a keenly contested match and entered the pre-quarter final round.
Both teams displayed a real tough match against one another right from the beginning giving little chance to each other to strike goals.
As they played the match with almost equal skills and tactics, they found it hard to strike through the strong defence of one another to strike goals.
However YDO got their golden chance in the 36th minute of the match which lead them into the pre-quarter final match.
The solitary goal of YDO in the 36th minute of the match was scored by L Gogocha.
On the other hand no players of MBSU could equalise the score till the end and lost the match.
Meanwhile, after defeating AIM, Khabam Lamkhai in the second match today, KSC, Lambulane entered the pre-quarter final round.
The second match concluded in a tie in the normal time and KSC won the match in tie break with a difference of only one goal.
Both teams played the match in a very competitive way and found it rather difficult to strike goal against one another.
Players of both teams played the match with full determination to win.
Although they lost the match, AIM took the first lead in the 20th minute of the match.
With one goal ahead of them, players of KSC tried their best to equalise the score.
On the other hand players of AIM too tried their best to defend themselves against the goal attempts of their opponent.
With every minute passing by both teams' players were tense.
It was almost over and AIM almost won the match.
But in the the extra time of the second half Lamkholen Kipgen of KSC struck one goal against AIM in the 90+2nd minute of the match.
He scored the goal from a ball passed to him by his teammate L Jonathan Ginthianlal.
The match ended up in a tie with scores 1-1 for both teams.
In the tie breaker kick, Boinao Gangte, Helun Haokip, Hemkhoson Tonthang, L Jonathan Ginthianlal, Seijalal Haokip and Lamkholen Kipgen of KSC entered their balls into the net.
On the other hand only S Arunjit, W Ngouba, Kh Bupinchand, S Santa and Th Vandona entered their balls into the net while M Boicha's kick was saved by the custodian of KSC.
The match concluded with AIM winning and entering the pre-quarter final round while AIM who entered into the CC Meet from the Manipur State League bowed out of the tournament.
