Former International footballer to spearhead Kuki Football Academy

Manglenthang Zou, former International footballer has been given the responsibility to look after and take forward the Kuki Football Academy (KFA) to achieve higher status.
The Kuki Football Academy had reshuffled its office bearers at its Headquarters, D Phaihel village in Kangpokpi District on November 24 and the handing and taking over of charge was held on December 2 while dedication of the new elected office bearers were held in the grand finale of the 2nd KFA Night Football Open Tournament, 2018 on December 3 evening.
The former International footballer, Manglenthang Zou was elected as the new president of the Kuki Football Academy while Thangminlen Kipgen along with two ADC Sadar Hills Councilors Thangkam Lupheng and Lamminthang Kipgen were elected as vice president (Administration, External and Organizer) respectively.
While Ngamginlal Kipgen and Mama were elected as General Secretary and Secretary (External), Shambhu Sahu and Paominthang Kipgen were elected as secretary (Organizer) and joint secretary respectively.
Palal Singsit, Tingcha Kipgen, Hemang Haokip and Hegou were elected as finance secretary, treasurer, manager and secretary Information & Publicity of KFA while Lamkholen Kipgen, Jerry Kai Kilong, Hegou Kipgen and Kakai Kipgen were elected as coaches of the Academy.
While Dr Thangboi, Neijapremkim Kipgen and Lamneikim were elected as members of the Medical Board of KFA, Kamboi Chongloi, Lamgin Dimngel and Ngamlenmang Guite were elected as members of media in-charge of KFA.
The Kuki Football Academy also elected 10 persons in the Advisory Board including Haokhotinlen Vaiphei, Lunsat Kipgen, Dr Jamlal Haokip, Thangboi Kipgen, Founder of KFA, Kaisei Lhouvum, EM SHADC Kpi, Lamkholen Kipgen, EM SHADC Kpi, Lunthang Haokip, MDC, James Doungel, Tonghen Kipgen and Thangchon Kipgen.
The Kuki Football Academy is based at D Phaihel Village in Kangpokpi District and it is the only football academy which organized the first Night Football Open Tournament since its inception in 2017 in Manipur.
It has started non-residential football coaching for U-15 from 2017 apart from successfully organizing the Night Football Open Tournament and has envision to recruit 30 students of U-10 by 2020 which is a way forward to scale greater heights.
The newly elected KFA President, Manglenthang Zou assured to carry forward the academy with transparency, dedication and innovatively in the larger interest of the youths and appeal the people of Manipur to extent maximum cooperation and support towards the academy so that it can be platform to develop football into higher level.
