Manipuri players settle for runners up spots

The tennis players from Manipur had a luckless day as two double teams settled for the second spot at the Open ITF Senior International Tennis Tournament 2017 held in Uttarakhand .
The double teams of above 45 years and above 55 years suffered defeat to finish runners up in the international tournament which is organised by Uttarakhand Tennis Association and which was held at Shanti Tennis Academy, Dehradun .
The duo of Tule Thongbam and Ram Gudas Singh were beaten 3-6, 1-6 by Nagarjun Devnath Sidhart and Rajesh Ganpati to finish runners up in the above 45 years men’s doubles final .
The pair of N Dilip and H Ibotombi also conceded a 2-6, 2-6 loss to the combination of PK Gupta and Manimohan Nehru in the above 55 years men’s doubles final to end as the runners up.
