'Educational institutions manipulated for personal gain'

Asserting that educational institutions are the most holiest places where youth from every religion come to learn and nurture their future, Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam Singh said that educational institution which holds the key for future of the students is constantly under threat which is a matter of concern .
Addressing the inaugural function of Sin � Lang Fest 2017, a three-day event organised by the Department of BBA, DM College of Commerce today, Radheshyam said that educational institutions which provide a large variety of learning environments and learning spaces belonged to all the people and the society.
However, these institutions are being manipulated for some personal gain.
Such things need to be stopped, he remarked .
He said that every citizen, student and teacher must safeguard and protect their educational institution for it is the place where the children of today go to get education and secure their future .
He appealed to the people to regard the buildings of schools, colleges and university as the holy places like temple, mosque and churches .
Man since birth has to manage every step of life.
Utilising the best of available resources within the constraints and to present in the best presentable way is called the best manager, he said .
The Minister said that the event has been organised at the right moment as the society is proceeding towards the era of management .
He said that management is an inseparable part of life and the right and the best management in life can lead one to success .
Parliamentary Secretary Leishangthem Susindro Meitei said that the Sin � Lang Fest 2017 is like a practical for the students to make themselves aware and gain experience in event management.
He also said that the students need to participate in the events organised by other colleges and universities to learn and develop their skills in this field .
Principal of DM College of Commerce said that the festival is being organised to enhance competency and skills of the students .
Principals from different colleges, professors, non-teaching staff and students attended the inaugural function of the Sin � Lang Fest 2017 .
