easy 3-0 win against
Longreijang F C in the first
quarterfinal match of the
ongoing 25th KC Mallick
Memorial Football
Tournament 2015, organised
by the All Jiribam Sports
Association (AJSA), Jiribam,
today at Jiribam Govt Higher
Secondary School playground.
In the first quarterfinal
league round match today, 27
Assam Rifles, Kadamtala
dominated the match with
better ball possession.
In the first half, 27 Assam
Rifles took a comfortable 2-0
lead after Victor Raina found
a brace in the 20th and 22th
minute.
The third winning goal of
27 Assam Rifles came in the
additional 90+3rd minute af-
ter BK Goutam found the net.

to 10 players and winning
convincingly is a testimony to
the fact that the Indian foot-

MCA 2nd Plate Cricket Tournament
SCCC outclass YWC by 165 runs

IMPHAL, Jan 8 :
SCCC,
Singjamei outclassed YWC,
Patsoi by 165 runs in
the 2nd Plate Tournament,
organised by the Manipur
Cricket Association (MCA),
today at Luwangpokpa
Cricket Stadium,
Luwangshangbam.
SCCC won the toss and
opted to bat first and set a
194 runs target with seven
wickets down.
SCCC's Kishan went im-
pressive as he struck a
century in 66 balls by hit-
ting seven fours and five
sixes.
He was the only notable
scorer of the winning team.
In reply, YWC were re-
stricted at just 28 runs in
9.1 overs with Bob (6) as
the highest scorer of their
team.
A fine bowling from
Ajay saw him scalping five
wickets while Sandeep and
Ibochou took two wickets
each.
The man of the match ti-
tle went to Kishan and Ajay
of SCCC.
Tomorrow, PCC, Mayai
Koibi will play with WCA,
Tera Yengkhom Leirak.
