MPSC moves up to fourth spot

After winning today's match, the Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) moved up one step and grabbed the fourth spot in the point tally of the ongoing 5th Manipur State League organized by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the Vision India Project of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal.
The first match today played between AIM, Khabam Lamkhai and ESU, Wangkhei ended in a goalless draw after a strong fight.
Both teams played the match with full coordination but failed to score a single goal against one another.
AIM, who was in the fourth place came down one step and remain in the fifth place in the point tally after today's match.
On the other hand ESU who was in the 11th position climbed up to 10th position.
In the second match, MPSC beat USA, Khurai 3-1 and climbed up to the fourth position.
On the other hand USA after losing today's match is retaining the 9th position.
I Nilakumar of MPSC drew the first blood of the match in the 6th minute of the match.
He scored his team's second goal against USA in the 22nd minute.
The third goal of MPSC was also scored by Nilakumar in the 85th minute of the match.
The lone goal of USA was scored by M Robinson in a penalty kick in the 29th minute of the match.
YWC, Thambalkong and NEROCA Sangakham will play the first match tomorrow at 11.30 am while the second match will be played between TRUGPU, Nambol and NISA, Thangmeiband at 1.30 pm.
