Two dead bodies recovered

Imphal, January 07 2011:
In the last two days, state police recovered two dead bodies from different places and deposited the bodies in the RIMS mortuary.
City police recovered a dead body from Thoubal parking at Keishampat today morning.
The deceased man is believed to be Ranjit from Jiri.
He was thin, wheatish in colour, around 5 feet tall and roughly of 40 years of age.
Police claimed that he might died due to the intense cold.
Police deposited the body in RIMS mortuary.
In another incident, CCpur police recovered a dead body near the Yelang Lamka Cemetry on January 6 around 4 pm.
He was identified as Chalroukung (30) son of Thanglang of Bethel village, CCpur.
He is believed to have died due to a drug overdose.
Police deposited his body in the RIMS mortuary.
In the meantime, a dead body of a newly born infant was found being eaten by a dog near Dr Ambedkar School, New Lamka.
Police recovered the body and deposited in the mortuary of CCpur District hospital.
The parents of the baby are still not known.
