Bodies decry SF attack

Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills and Kuki Students Organisation Sadar Hills have strongly condemned the alleged indiscriminate firing and torture meted out to the villagers of Sonjang Pakang by 10 Dogra Regiment personnel at Anurag Nepali Basti on January 5 last.
According to a joint press release issued by the Secretary of Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills and President of KSO Sadar Hills, the villagers were allegedly attacked by a team of 10 Dogra Regiment posted at Thonglang Akutpa as they returned home after resolving a stand off with the villagers of a neighbouring village in connection with burning down of jhumming huts and potato seedlings.
The security team allegedly fired several rounds upon the innocent villagers injuring Paominlal Kipgen (26) s/o Mangkam Kipgen and Lammang Kipgen (28) s/o late Seilet Kipgen.
Inquiring the intention of the attack the bodies warned that it would not remain silent if the guilty personnel are not punished.
