MVCA T20 Cricket : Rojesh claims four as YWC cruise to third successive win

Rojesh of YWC, Langthabal claimed 4 wickets today as CYCLONE, Thangmeiband were restricted to 106 for 10 in 20 overs before his team cruise to a 5 wicket win, the team's third win on the trot at the 7th MVCA T20 Cricket Tournament 2019 organised by Manipur Veteran Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground.
The other match of the day saw CHAMP made a comeback after last game snub to beat LCCC, Chajing by 14 runs.
CYCLONE which opted to bat first had a sloppy start as man of the match, Rojesh ran riot to claim four of the crucial wickets.
Shashi and Binoy of the team put up a good show to gather 25 runs each in this innings while the remaining order could not withstood the pace of YWC bowlers.
Kumarjit and Priyokumar also added teeth to YWC bowling attack in this innings and scalped 2 wickets each.
In the chase, YWC took 18 overs and lost five wickets to post 110 runs to register the third big win in the tournament.
Umakanta managed 25 runs in 37 balls before Manaobi came in to hit the highest 31 runs in 28 balls to steer his team to a comfortable zone.
Kumarjit also added 16 valuable runs off 16 balls in this innings that saw Rohendro of CYCLONE claim 2 wickets while L Surjit and W Surjit picked one wicket each.
Elsewhere in the second match of the day, CHAMP, Khagempalli posted a huge 153 runs target for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs as Jodiba shone with the bat striking 52 in just 36 runs.
Gulshan and Robinson also added 28 and 21 runs respectively in this innings.
LCCC's pick up the pace late and Ranbir became the most successful bowler of the team scalping 3 on the go and Krishnakumar and Pratap dismissed two wickets each before their chase ended at 138 runs for all wickets down in 19.5 overs.
Krishnakumar gave a bright start hitting 40 in 27 balls while Nandakumar and Sanjit added 27 and 22 runs respectively before a big collapse as Jodiba of CHAMP claimed three before Ratan and Ibobi managed 2 wickets each.
Jodiba was latter adjudged man of the match.
NAPSA will meet DSU in the next match tomorrow in the morning followed by CHAMP vs Model Club match in the evening.
