9 year old cancer patient goes home after successful induction phase treatment

A nine year old cancer patient, who was undergoing treatment at JNIMS from January 24, with financial assistance from Helping Hands for People, was discharged today after a successful induction phase treatment.
The girl patient, Lungthailieu Kamson is the daughter of one Chamdanlung Kamson of Khumji 2, Noney district.
Lungthailieu 's family were disheartened when they could not begin necessary treatment before owing to financial problems.
Helping Hands for People have been extending necessary financial assistance for the girl child and started her treatment at JNIMS child ward (extension) from the time her story came into the light, conveyed Helping Hands for People Manipur chairman Khoirom Loyalakpa and the members of the organisation.
The members informed that the organisation will also providing financial aid for treatment of two children namely Silky (9 yrs) of Tentha and Irmi (4 yrs) of Ukhrul district.
Meanwhile, JNIMS MS (in-charge) Dr N Jitendra further conveyed that the induction phase, which is the most important stage in cancer treatment, has been successful adding that the she will continue with the treatment by taking medicines for almost three years which will cure the disease.
Lauding the Helping Hands for People Manipur, he went on to state that many deprived and underprivileged people of the State, who are not able to get proper treatment, if other organisations extend similar aid like Helping Hands for People Manipur.
