Women's National League pre-qualifying MPSC down YWC; ESU claim convincing win

Manipur
Police Sports Club (MPSC)
and ESU, Wangkhei advanced
with easy victories against their
respective opponents in the
ongoing Pre-Qualifying
Round for Women's National
League 2016, organised by the
All Manipur Football
Association (AMFA), today at
Artificial Turf ground,
Khuman Lampak.
In the first match today,
MPSC downed YWC by a
margin of 3 goals to one.
The match began with
MPSC taking an early lead
after Ng Bala struck home the
opening goal of her side in
the 4th minute.
Minutes later, YWC
bounced back after S Rinaroy
netted the equaliser in the 21st
minute.
The first half ended on a
1-1 draw.
After the breather, Ng Bala
banged in her second goal in
the 61st minute through A
Roja Devi.
Later, Ng Amibala
scored a goal in the 85th
minute to seal the match 3-1
against a hapless YWC.
MPSC's Surbala was
booked a yellow card in the
62nd minute.
In another match today,
ESU, Wangkhei outclassed
NYTHE, Okram Chuthek by
a margin of 8 goals to nil.
In today's one sided en-
counter match, Kashmina and
I Prameshwori Devi hit a tre-
ble each.
Kashmina scored in the
20th, 34th and 37th minute
while I Prameshwori found
the targets in the 53rd, 60th
and 61st minute.
The other two winning
goals came from Th Umabati
and W Ranjibala in the 70th
and 71st minute respectively.
Th Devjani of NYTHE
was yellow carded in the 87th
minute.
The next match will be
played on August 26 between
NYTHE, Okram Chuthek
and KRYPSHA,
Naoremthong at 1.30 pm
while ESU, Wangkhei will
meet YWC, Langthabal in the
second match at 3.30 pm.
