National School Games Archery : Manipur lift overall team champion trophy

Imphal, November 09 2017:
After bagging 10 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze medals in the under-14 boys and girls category, Manipur lifted the overall archery team champion trophy in the 63rd National School Games .
Held under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India and organised by the Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports at the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, the tournament had participation from 23 states that include 351 archers consisting of 188 boys and 163 girls .
Haryana got the runners-up trophy with 9 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
CBSE took the third spot with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals .
N Prabin Singh, IAS, Director, Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr G Ibopishak Sharma, Vice President, Manipur Olympic Association and Tansuk Vai Chatbat, Observer, School Games federation of India distributed the prizes and citations.
