Farish FC, Bolero FC emerge victorious in VSO Trophy Soccer

Farish FC secured a hard fought 3-2 win against Panthoibi FC while Bolero FC trounced Angtha FFC by 6-1 goals in the ongoing 5th VSO Trophy Cash Prize Soccer Tournament organised by Khongjom Circle Veteran Sports Organisation at Tekcham HS ground today.
Farish FC took off the game on a positive note against Panthoibi FC in the Group D league match as Imdad found the opener in the 23rd minute before his team mate Yaris banged in the second goal the very next minute.
Panthoibi FC which were reeling under immense pressure had some breathing time as Santa pulled back a goal in the 29th minute but to their disappointment Yaris connected to his second goal in the 30th minute to help Farish FC regain the two goal advantage.
Panthoibi FC managed to reduce the lead by 1 goal when Roshan hit the team's second in the 40th minute but failed to come to level term as Panthoibi FC did well to foil all their efforts in the remaining part of the game.
Elsewhere in the second match, Bolero FC rode on Denel treble to notch up a comfortable 6-1 win against Angtha FFC.
Both the teams started the game cautiously and held off one another from having the lead until Denel found the breakthrough in the 29th minute.
Arnold of Angtha FFC conceded an own goal in the 31st minute to pile up his team's misery and Jeteshor made it 3-0 in favour of Bolero FC with a clinical shot in the 35th minute.
Bolero FC continued to press hard despite the huge lead and it was Sova who hit the third goal for the team in the 43rd minute before Denel rose again and banged in two more goals in the 48th and the 49th minute to give his team a commanding 6-0 lead.
Angtha FFC however grabbed a face saving goal in the 50th minute through Olen and made it 1-6 at the end.
Wanted Boys will face Walyda in a Group E league match tomorrow while Shamphabi FC will meet 7-Star in a Group F league match.
