61st CC Meet :: RAO outlast LYCC 6-1; NCC down UBSA 4-1

RAO, Lairikyengbam Leikai routed LYCC, Chandel by 6-1 goals while NC Club, Khonghampat romped to a 4-1 win against UBSA, Mantak to move into the second round of the ongoing 61st Sir Churachand Singh, KCSI, CBE Memorial Invitation Football Tournament 2018-19 at Artificial Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak today.
LYCC, Chandel started the game 4n a bang as Mitchel slotted home the opener early in the 2nd minute taking advantage of defensive lapse of RAO.
RAO however staged a fight-back and eased to a huge 6-1 win against LYCC who might not have expected such a huge loss.
The early goal for LYCC was an eye opener for RAO who pressed hard for the equaliser right from the next moment.
LYCC managed to soak up the pressure for a while but a barrage of shots from RAO's forward finally broke down their stout defence build up and it was Khanngam who beat LYCC keeper and draw level in the 20th minute.
RAU's confidence eventually grew up and they were able to see their second goal three minutes latter through Lamjingba for a 2-1 lead.
RAO were in cruise control as Mayon got yet another goal in the 37th minute to make it 3-1 at the break.
RAO continued to control the game in the second half and it was Jiteshor who extended the lead to 4-1 against the Chandel side who were out of contest already.
Chanso also joined the party and fired in two goals in the 81st and the 86th minute to help RAO demolish LYCC.
The second match of the day was very much similar as UBSA drew first blood in the 11th minute through Rithaanal before NC Club banged in four goals to overturn the scoreline in their favour.
Ng Bishorjit led the NC Club attack from the front as he drew level in the 27th minute and completed his hattrick with two more goals in the 58th and during the stoppage time to steer his team to a clinical 4-1 finish.
H Anilkumar also etched his name on the scoresheet netting once in at the stroke of the first half and made it 2-1 in NC Club's favour at the break.
