Aided school teachers storm residence of MLA Radhakishore Singh

MLA L Radhakishore Singh of Oinam Assembly Constituency has assured the representatives of JAC of All Manipur Aided School Employee's Organisation and teachers of the Aided school to take up their issue for discussion with the CM, Dety CM and Edn Min and to expedite the process of implementation of the 6th pay commission for the teachers of the Aided schools by the end of financial year, after the protestors stormed his residence on Wednesday to fulfill their legitimate demands.
As a part of the ongoing agitation to implement the 6th pay commission, Revised of Pay (ROP) 2010 and to conduct DPC of teachers to fill the vacant posts, the Aided school teachers of Manipur organized a rally at Keinou and stormed the residence of MLA Oinam Kendra L Radhakishore Singh led by representatives of the JAC of All Manipur Aided School Employee's Organisation today.
Speaking to the media persons on the sideline of the protest, spokesperson of the JAC, S Bimol said that Manipur has 585 Aided Schools employing 1672 teachers while 323 teachers are waiting for DPC adding that the protest demonstration was organized to highlight the untold miseries of the aided school teachers due to non-implementation of 6th pay commission, ROP 2010 and false promise to conduct DPC to fill up the vacant posts of aided schools.
He also condemned the action of the State Govt, which after releasing a notice to held the DPC on December 17 last year, has issued an order to cancel the DPC on December 14 and further urged the State Govt to address the grievances of Aided school teachers at the earliest.
JAC has also postponed the proposed general strike on February 1 after the MLA gave his assurance to the protestors.
